How To Do Perfect Vacuum Resin Infusion of a Carbon Fibre (Fiber) Part - Basic Tutorial
Video guide to accompany our https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/resin-infusion-starter-kit - This practical guide explains exactly how to use the Resin Infusion technique to make a strong and light carbon fiber part with a perfect, pin-hole free, surface finish. Follow the video step-by-step, including never shared before professional techniques and you too can master this technique.
Resin Infusion of 3m Dinghy using Ciject Equipment
This video shows the resin-infusion of a small dinghy hull using a standard Ciject meter-mixing machine to supply mixed resin directly into the infusion. Although this is a relatively small structure, the principal of controlled 'direct infusion' is currently used to manufacture some of the largest production-infused structures in the world with quantities of resin greater than 8 tonnes being injected by specially developed Ciject equipment. Larger infusions often require multiple resin flow-runners and a manifold is used to divert resin from the machine to the various inlet points on the mould. The advantages of mechanising the resin feed include the removal of the manual resin mixing process, the avoidance of any manual contact with the resin and the prevention of 'bulk exothermic reaction' problems. Please contact Composite Integration Ltd if you would like more details. You can compare this process with exactly the same dinghy being moulded by the Vacuum RTM process (VRTM or Light RTM) if you follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTrVkgE8aBk The 3m dinghy was designed by student Jack Cunningham as part of his course at Falmouth Marine School.

How to make simple carbon fiber panels
This video shows the basics of carbon fiber lay up, step by step for vacuum bagging. The Carbon Fiber fabric used in this video is not what you would normally see. This fabric has a binding agent that helped hold the weave together making the lay up easier for instruction purposes. Your tradtional fabrics would be much looser and easier to mold in three demensional molds. Take a look, and ask any questions you may have. The number one question I get asked is where to buy some of the carbon fiber products I have used in some of my videos. The answer is not an easy one because there are a ton of products and vendors out there, but if you are considering to try and make some carbon fiber here are a few links to get you started.
